    Register for this event!

Since the ABThera Open Abdomen Negative Pressure Therapy (OA NPT) system was launched in 2009, surgeons from 20 sites across the US have been collecting clinical data as part of a KCI funded observational, open-label study. The results of this study have just been published in the World Journal of Surgery. The study demonstrated significant differences between ABThera OA NPT vs Barker's Vacuum Packing Technique with respect to the 30-day all cause mortality rate. Join us as two of the primary investigators, Dr. Demetrios Demetriades and Dr. Michael Cheatham, discuss the results of this groundbreaking study and the potential impact on the treatment of the open abdomen.
